The current ALYX Market Survey provides timely and detailed reporting on actual sales volume and dose volume of veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines, insecticides, and other animal health products sold for the following market segments: cattle, equine, and certain small animal markets. Animalytix Privacy Rules – a set of business rules designed to protect the anonymity of Animalytix data providers and their clients. The privacy rules require a minimum of 5 Market Consumption Points (MCPs) per reported geo area with a maximum market share of 25% per MCP. Additionally, data from a minimum of three data providers (e.g. distributors) must be present per geo area with a maximum market share per provider of 70%. The Animalytix Privacy Rules allow reporting at a 3-digit USPS ZIP code level when these thresholds are met. When unmet, adjacent 3-digit USPS ZIP codes are aggregated until either (a) the privacy rules are met or, (b) the 3-digit USPS ZIP codes of an entire state are combined, at which time the data is reported at a state level.
Designated Geospatial Area (DGA) – A defined geographic region based on individual 3-digit USPS ZIP codes or aggregations thereof. DGA generation occurs each time an ALYX Market Survey or Sensus report subject to the Animalytix Privacy Rules which are designed to preserve the confidentiality of participating data contributors and their clients.

Sales volumes are ranked by colorimetric scale and presented using individual 3-digit USPS ZIP, DGA aggregations or state maps. Color scale represenatations are consistent throughout all maps in the report series with heavier sales concentrations denoted by darker colorations.
